At PineBelt Rise, our goal is to keep costs as affordable as possible for families while providing young athletes with a quality basketball experience. We believe every child deserves an opportunity to enjoy the game, develop their abilities, and learn valuable life lessons through basketball.

PineBelt Rise is a Christian-based basketball organization built on faith, education, character, discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Basketball is more than a game to us—it is a tool for teaching young athletes about life, teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and themselves.

Our coaching is led by an NFHS-certified coach with nationally recognized accreditation and training with over 40 years of basketball experience.  We are committed to providing our athletes with knowledgeable instruction while creating an environment that encourages them to grow both on and off the court.

One of PineBelt Rise's primary goals is to help young athletes south of I-20 develop the skills, basketball knowledge, confidence, character, and sportsmanship needed to compete at higher levels. We want to do our part in developing local talent and helping Southern Mississippi schools become stronger contenders for state and national recognition.

Above all, the PineBelt Rise Director believes the knowledge, experience, and gifts God has given him are meant to be passed down to the youth in our communities.

The Director of PineBelt Rise is a United States Veteran with a lifelong connection to basketball. His own playing career was cut short after suffering an injury during his first year of college at the University of Hawaii. Although the injury ended his opportunity to continue his basketball career as a player, it did not end his love for the game.

Instead, that experience helped develop a passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping young athletes become the best versions of themselves—not only as basketball players, but in Christ, in the classroom, and in life.

He has coached travel and AAU basketball and trained kids since 2002, bringing years of experience in player development, competition, mentorship, and youth basketball.

While basketball development is important, his highest priority is education and character. He teaches every young athlete four principles that extend far beyond the basketball court:

Trust God. Get an education. Respect others. Treat people the way you would want to be treated.
